Spain reached the semifinals through victory against Switzerland after penalties while Italy beat Belgium with the odd goal in their quarterfinals.

Tonight they meet in the European Championship's first semi-final - and the Spanish national team captain thinks he knows what will be important to reach the final.

- Our goal is clear: we want the ball, we need it, says Luis Enrique at a press conference.

The 51-year-old emphasizes the importance of owning a lot of ball during the match.

- It will probably be the first battle we have to win.

They (Italy) adapt to play even when they do not have the ball.

They have done so during certain parts of the championship.

But they are more comfortable with the ball and stronger with it, he says and continues:

- If we have to play in a different way, we adapt, but we prefer to have the ball.

In the second semi-final, which will be broadcast on SVT tomorrow, England and Denmark will meet.

The final will be played at Wembley on 11 July.
