Sweden has shown great form ahead of the Olympics in Tokyo.

In 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, Sweden has faced the reigning Olympic champions Russia and the reigning world champions the Netherlands.

The result?

Two straight victories.

On Sunday night, Sweden won 28-23 against the Netherlands.

Linn Blohm was the victory organizer with her nine goals for Sweden.

- It was a message of strength.

We have had quite tough training periods so it is super fun to be able to make such good matches with heavy legs and so close to the end of the season, says team captain Carin Strömberg according to the national handball team's website.

"We will need that in the Olympics"

The win means that Sweden is also the winner of the training tournament before the Olympics.

The national team captain Thomas Axnér thus had every reason to be happy with his team.

- Then we know that these are training matches and teams that will have a higher level of motivation in a championship.

I hope we can find a physical peak, we will need that in the Olympics as we only play tough matches there, says Axnér.

Sweden will play its first match in the Olympics on July 25.

Then Spain stands for the opposition.
