Sweden's World Cup squad is a mixture of routine and new blood.

Among the fourteen runners are seven former World Cup medalists and four debutants.

Great golden chances in the relays

In fact, Sweden is the reigning world champion in all three forms of relay.

- Golden chance is found in all relays - mixed relay in sprint, and women's and men's relay in the forest.

It remains to be seen how the law will be formed.

Federation captain Håkan Carlsson has the privilege of being able to pick the strongest names from a broad squad, says SVT's expert Mats Troeng.

"Tove favorite in all races"

The brightest star in the squad, and in the entire orienteering world, is of course Tove Alexandersson.

- Tove ran home two golds at the European Sprint Championships in Switzerland just over a month ago without being in top form.

Now she has reached the season's big goal, prepared, and top favorite in all the races she starts in. Alongside Tove, Sara Hagström has reached a new level in her career and is now making interesting starts.

Lina Strand and Karolin Ohlsson are jumping mainly on sprints.

The 19-year-old future name Hanna Lundberg is ready for great deeds if she gets the chance, says Troeng.

"Incomprehensibly long time"

It has been a full 26 years since a Swedish men's runner won World Cup gold in an individual forest distance.

- It is an incomprehensibly long time considering Sweden's dominant position in orienteering. Unfortunately, I think the suite will be extended. Gustav Bergman and Emil Svensk have the opportunity to disprove me, but Svensk's chances are greatest in the sprint and Bergman is sharper in Nordic terrain, says Mats Troeng.
