Greek and South African rowers and coaches who will participate in the rowing at the Tokyo Olympics arrived at Toyama Airport on the morning of the 2nd for a preliminary training camp in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.

At Keiko in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, representatives from four countries, Greece, South Africa, Russia, and Serbia, who will participate in the rowing at the Tokyo Olympics, are planning to hold a preliminary training camp, including representatives from Greece and South Africa. A total of 15 coaches arrived at Toyama Airport on the morning of the 2nd.



The arriving athletes wore jerseys from their respective countries, waved to the press in the arrival lobby, and showed a peaceful appearance. They boarded the bus prepared by the city and headed for the dormitory in the city.



According to the Nanto City Board of Education, which responds to the athletes, all the athletes have been vaccinated with the new coronavirus vaccine, and in principle, they use a dedicated bus between the dormitory and the driving range, except during practice hours. I am supposed to spend time in the dormitory.



There will be no exchange events with the citizens, and the players will move to Tokyo after the training camp until the 18th of this month.



Players from the remaining two countries will also arrive in Nanto City from the 3rd, and will hold a pre-camp until the 18th.
