This is the first time that an overseas Olympic team has visited Fukuoka Prefecture.

The Guam and Micronesia swimming team will hold a pre-camp in Miyama City until the 19th of this month.



On the 2nd, an airplane carrying 6 players and coaches arrived at Fukuoka Airport around 11:30 am.

When each athlete arrived in Japan, they underwent an antigen test for the new coronavirus at the airport, and all of them were confirmed to be negative.

At Fukuoka Airport, after receiving the luggage, he appeared in the arrival lobby and waved at the press.



On the other hand, in the lobby, there was a scene where the person in charge called on many people who gathered to see the arrival to keep a distance from the players.

After leaving the lobby, the team boarded a bus to the hotel in Yanagawa, where they were staying.



At the request of the government, Miyama City has decided to suspend the practice of all participants in the training camp if an infected person appears in the athletes during the pre-camp.



According to the prefecture, this is the first time that an overseas team has visited Fukuoka Prefecture, and in the future, teams from 21 countries will visit the prefecture at the pre-Olympic training camp.
