As the entry of the athletes for the Tokyo Olympics is in full swing, a representative of Argentine judo girls who will hold a preliminary training camp in Sakai Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, arrived at the airport on the morning of the 2nd.

This is the first time that a player who will hold a pre-camp in Ibaraki Prefecture has arrived.

Around 8:30 am on the 2nd, Argentine Tokyo Olympic Judo Women's National Team arrived at Narita Airport, Paula Pareto, who won the gold medal at the last Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

From the 2nd to the 18th of this month, we are planning to hold a pre-camp in Sakai Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, and at the airport, we will get off the plane with the Ghanaian team that arrived on the same flight, and will enter the country separately from general passengers, such as testing for the new coronavirus. We were accepting the necessary procedures.

In addition to this, Sakai Town is planning to accept 71 people including representative athletes who will hold pre-camps in other competitions in Argentina, and all of them will stay at a reserved hotel as an infection control measure.

In addition, the actions of athletes and staff are limited to going back and forth between the hotel and the practice area, and meals are ordered from restaurants in the town and eaten in the hotel.

After completing the inspection at the airport, Pareto will head to Sakai-cho and start practicing on the 3rd.
