The head of Al-Nasr Sports Games, Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, said that individual and team games, with the exception of football, suffer from a lack of interest, and the absence of professional contracts for players, criticizing football for taking all the attention without much benefit.

He pointed out that "group and individual games, and in all sports in general, are spent on them in millions, but their returns are zero," noting that in Al-Nasr Club, for example, the budget for all sports, except for football, ranges from 23 to 27 million dirhams annually and the return is zero, and the Fits big spending size.

Al-Hashemi’s speech came during his meeting on the “Connected and Separated” program, presented by Captain Adel Khamis on his YouTube channel, and broadcast in cooperation with “Emirates Today”: “All players in sports and team games in clubs are amateurs, and there are no professional contracts for players, And all there are monthly bonuses that players get from clubs only.”

The head of the company refused to name what the citizen players receive salaries, stressing that they are monthly bonuses, while making it clear that the name of salaries means that the player is an employee or a professional, and that this situation does not exist in various sports.

He said that professional contracts are signed only with foreigners in each sport according to its status, in addition to the contracts of resident players, which he said have harmed many games.

He added: «There are many problems that occurred with the issue of the resident player in some games, there are residents who receive more than foreigners, because they are actually foreign players, and this has caused some problems with foreign federations, where the clubs classified the resident as someone who was not linked to any professional contract before in his country, What made the foreign federations object due to the inability to include these players in their national teams, due to their association with contracts with our clubs.”

He continued: «The law of the resident player is not clear, and each union interpreted it according to its desire to develop the game in the way it deems appropriate for it, and for example in basketball, officials insisted on the presence of a player from within the country, but on the plane they refused to contract with any player from abroad, In all cases, the resident player is treated as a foreign player, and it is difficult to replace or contract with another player due to limited budgets.

He continued, "There is no return from the federations for sports, as four or five million dirhams are spent annually on a specific sport, and we win three championships, while the prizes from the sports federations are cups and medals only, and the rewards are limited to sports councils."

He continued: “The clubs must have their own investments to face this dangerous indicator in the future, and the evidence for this is that Al Nasr Club includes 16 games, and has investments amounting to 700 million dirhams, which was what the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid was keen on, God willing. Al Maktoum - may God rest his soul -, where each game includes from 100 to 150 players, and he, may God have mercy on him, refused to cancel any game. He explained that the support coming from some companies for team and individual games is simple, and is not compared to what football gets.

He stressed that it is challenging to have a club in the Emirates that covers 20 or 30% of the exchange rate it does, noting that changing the player in football in the middle of the season needs a special budget.

Al-Hashemi talked about arbitration in individual games, and said: The citizen referee goes to the place of the match immediately after his work, and the place may be far away in order to obtain 150 dirhams, due to the lack of special budgets, which makes the citizen referee leave the arbitration because of the futility of that, and pointed out that "There are some referees in individual games who get 70 dirhams or 100 dirhams, but they continue because of their love for the game," calling for the need to amend this situation.

There are some judges in individual games who get 70 dirhams or 100 dirhams.
