Before the match, Djurgården housed the bottom of the damallsvenska table as second jumbo and was in great need of points so as not to risk slipping after too much.

They faced Vittsjö in seventh place today.

Despite Vittsjö having several hot chances, Djurgården took all three points home after a 1-0 victory.

The first half contained several dangerous chances, including Clara Marklund was close to the Vittsjö lead just before the break.

But in the end, it was Djurgården who, in the 54th minute, was able to take the lead through a long shot from just Fanny Lång who looked into the goal.

First away win

Towards the end, Vittsjö got back to real pressure and had several good chances but they never managed to get a hole in Djurgården's goalkeeper Kelsey Daugherty.

Djurgården won 1-0 and thus has three matches without a loss and they move up to eighth place in the table.

It is also their first away win this season.
