The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) supplemented the Olympic team with six more names today.

This means that the squad now consists of 91 named athletes and 26 not yet presented in football and equestrian sports.

As expected, the Olympic silver medalist from Rio 2016 Henrik Stenson will not get a place.

The Swedish golf star has had some difficult years and burned his last chance, this weekend's US Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, where he needed a top result but missed the cut after two days of play.

Alexander Norén has a third place and two top ten places on the PGA Tour in the last two seasons and Norlander a second place and two top ten places.

In addition to the men's duo in golf, the table tennis player Christina Källberg, the judoka Robin Pacek, the weightlifter Patricia Strenius and Erik Holmer, canoe slalom, can also pick out their Olympic tickets.

Strenius took European Championship gold in 69 kilos in 2018 and European Championship bronze in 76 kilos the following year.

It is in the latter class that she competes.

Källberg and Holmer are selected on the future criterion as young talents.

"We are very happy with our squad so far.

Now we have only a few selections left and 117 selected participants.

We have an intensive week ahead of us and the last planned selection will take place on June 30, ”says SOK's operations manager Peter Reinebo in a press release.
