The Japan Sumo Association has revealed that all of them were negative as a result of PCR tests such as wrestlers for the Grand Sumo Nagoya venue next month.

According to Mr. Shibatayama, the director of the Japan Sumo Association's public relations department, when a PCR test was conducted on wrestlers and others toward the Nagoya location, which will be the first day of next month, all of them were negative by the 21st.

In addition, Shibatayama's public relations manager revealed that wrestlers and their masters will be vaccinated for the first time with the new coronavirus from the 23rd to the 24th of this month.

After the vaccination, the wrestlers will move to the lodgings in each room in and around Nagoya City.

"We will continue to measure the temperature in the morning and evening even after entering Nagoya. If you feel sick or have a fever, you will immediately receive an appropriate test," said Shibatayama.

The Nagoya venue will be held at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium in Nagoya City as the main venue in the region for the first time in 1 year and 4 months.
