Philousports, also more commonly known as Philou, died Saturday, June 19, announces the artistic agency with which he worked.

His death arouses great emotion on the Web.

His name was Philippe.

But on Twitter it is under the name of Philou that we have known him for several years.

The @philousports account, born in April 2011, had become essential on the social network for anyone who loves sport in France and in French-speaking countries.

There was a time when Philou shared short extracts of goals, points or beautiful actions seen on all terrains and in all sports disciplines.

Then, he simply started talking about football, tennis, rugby and others with his large community.

"To speak", or rather "to write".

This is how we communicate on Twitter.

But this is also how Philou expressed himself most often.

The Marseillais, fan of OM, was suffering from myopathy.

Disabled, he moved around in a wheelchair and spoke little due to a tracheotomy.

His health problems, he spoke about it in several reports which were devoted to him.

The last, signed

Brut

and shot at the end of May, was broadcast on June 18, the day before his disappearance.

"That's what touches me. It's the people who tell you that you are useful for something. You are not useless, what."

2 years later, Brut returned to see @philousports at his home in Corsica.

If you distribute benevolence, it comes back to you like a boomerang

", said Philou, author in 2019 of the book "Me, Philousports", in which he evoked his life, his difficult history, as well as his happiness born on the web and Twitter. Twittos, who also really liked video games, radiated positive waves on this network.

Almost an anomaly on Twitter.

Around him, Philou had created a real community fan of his features of humor.

His notoriety and kindness had allowed him to satisfy his passion for sport.

Several clubs and leagues were associated with him.

That's what touches me, the people who tell you that you are useful for something, that you are not useless.

This is what I want to be.

When I'm no longer there, let's say "damn, Philou he would do that, Philou he would do like that"

 ", Philou again confided to

Brut

.

His disappearance, at the age of 49, leaves the world of French sport sad.

From Hungary, where he played a Euro 2021 match with the France team on Saturday, Kylian Mbappé participated in thousands of messages in tribute to Philou: “

An admirable person, with whom I had the chance to 'to exchange.

An example for all.

A lover of football and life.

Sad news.

Rest in peace my Philou.

 "

Sad news.

Rest in peace my Philou
