The Franco-Beninese footballer Olivier Verdon was again accused of domestic violence by one of his ex-companions, who complained for "voluntary violence", "kidnapping" and "death threats", we learned. Thursday.

The young woman, 21, was the girlfriend of the Beninese international defender (25) for less than two months, from September to November 2020.

The facts for which she lodged a complaint would have taken place on the night of November 14 to 15, 2020, in Razgrad, Bulgaria, according to her lawyer, Me Bertrand Mertz, who confirms information from the Republican of Lorraine.

According to the complainant, who says she hesitated several months before finally filing a complaint, the footballer asked her to unlock her phone to have access to a conversation, which she says she refused.

“To try to unlock this phone [by facial recognition], Mr. Verdon does not hesitate to control [her] so that she is unable to move (…) He pulls her by the hair to raise her face and hugs her with her arm around her neck to prevent her from moving, ”reads the complaint.

The player, who played this season with the Bulgarian team of Razgrad Ludogorets, also explains that he will "sequester her in this apartment without her phone and that she will never see her family again", indicating on several occasions that ' he has "contacts that can organize his disappearance and cover up his murder".

"Fearing for her life, [the complainant] therefore tries to escape the disastrous outcome that emerges by jumping out of the window of the room in which she is held captive", we still read.

Another complaint was lodged with the Razgrad prosecutor's office last month.

In August 2019, the player had already been arrested by the Spanish police after a violent argument in the corridors of a hotel in Vitoria (Spanish Basque Country), where witnesses saw him grabbing his then-partner by the hair.

Olivier Verdon, passed through Bordeaux (2017-2018) and Sochaux (2018-2019), is under contract with the Spanish club Deportivo Alavés.

He was loaned this season to Bulgarian club Ludogorets Razgrad.
