Positive news for Christian Eriksen.

The Danish Football Association (DBU) announced on Friday (June 18) that the player was discharged from hospital after a "successful operation", in a statement posted on social media.

The 29-year-old midfielder collapsed during the Euro-2021 game between Denmark and Finland on June 12 at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.

Supported for long minutes by the doctors on the lawn, he had been resuscitated.

Christian Eriksen had since been under observation at Rigshospitalet, one of the largest hospitals in the capital.

His teammates, they pursued the Euro, paying tribute to him on numerous occasions.

Christian Eriksen has been discharged from the hospital.

"Christian Eriksen has been successfully operated on and left the Rigshospitalet today. He also visited the national team in Helsingor. And he will now go home and spend time with his family," DBU said.

The federation also sent a few words from the attacking midfielder of Inter Milan.

He wanted to thank all the many people who sent him greetings and messages.

“It was incredible to see and feel,” he says.
