There were nice scenes in the introduction at the Park tonight.

In the second minute, a packed Parken exploded when Yussuf Poulsen gave the Danes the lead.

Eight minutes later, the match was stopped in the tenth minute, the number Christian Eriksen wears on the jersey of the national team, when the Belgians deliberately kicked the ball out.

Both the 25,000 in the stands, leaders, players and referees participated in a joint applause to pay tribute to the midfielder.

That while the cameraman zoomed in on a poster with the text "All of Denmark is with you, Christian".

After a minute, the game resumed at the Park.

Left in the hospital

It was on Saturday that 29-year-old Eriksen collapsed during the European Championship premiere against Finland.

After cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he was taken on a stretcher and then taken to hospital.

It was then confirmed that he had suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch.

The situation is stable, but Christian Eriksen is still at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.

Earlier today, the Danish national team doctor Morten Boesen announced that Eriksen will have a so-called ICD implanted under the skin - an automatic defibrillator that senses the rhythm and gives a shock if there is a cardiac arrest.

Denmark fell in the premiere with 0-1, and is thus looking for its first championship points.

Belgium is, on victory, ready for advancement.

The match is in progress - Denmark leads 1-0.
