Yesterday at 7 pm, the rescue service had to pull out because smoke came from an electric car in Eskilstuna on Wednesday evening.

The car, which is owned by Sebastian Larsson, then caught fire.

An "important message to the public", VMA, went out and at 9 pm it was withdrawn.

The car was parked at the Swedish team captain's home, but at the time his wife and children were not home.

It was a neighbor who sounded the alarm.

- My family, my girls are unharmed, and that is what you are grateful for.

You are also grateful that it happened during the day and not at night when they were asleep.

Now we are waiting for the technical investigation, says Larsson during a press conference today.

Not affected

The incident affected Larsson initially, but now it is different, he says.

- As soon as I knew that my girls were unharmed, it no longer affected me.

Now the wife has to take care of that at home.

According to the rescue service, the fire was caused by a heated battery, a so-called thermal rush.

Sebastian Larsson starts, as captain, in tomorrow's important match against Slovakia.
