In December 2019, Wada shut down the Russian anti-doping organization Rusada and Russian Sports for four years due to doping offenses.
Rusada appealed Wada's decision to the sports arbitration court Cas and in December last year the suspension was halved.
Russian sports are still suspended until 16 December 2022 and may only arrange and participate in major championships to a limited extent.
