Sweden starts the European Championship against Slovakia on Thursday, and does so without several of its longest players after several heavy bids.

So what's most important now?

Here is Elisabeth Egnell's list:

High shooting percentage

- Sweden is a very guard-oriented team, which means that they lack the natural depth in the game.

When you miss that dimension, you become very vulnerable and almost all shots will come from outside, and then the m-å-ste shots sit.

Defend collectively

- The collective is even more important now that Sweden lacks any players and not least in the defense.

And considering that Sweden lacks some offensive strength, the team must ensure that there are no "high scoring matches".

But this is difficult because Sweden wants to take quick shots - and then there will be quick changes where you have to keep a close eye on the defense.

3. Little trip!

- Sweden will need a little luck in this championship.

A win may be enough to move on from the group stage, but then the other results must also go Sweden's way.

If you also want to be able to go far, it is good if the team is up against opponents who fit the Swedish style of play.

Sweden is also shooting-oriented, and that means that you do not really have a plan B. Therefore, it becomes even more important that the ball bounces ring in.
