In an official statement, the club confirmed the departure of Ramos, whose contract officially expires at the end of June, after no agreement was reached with him to renew, noting that he would hold a press conference in order to honor and bid farewell to the player.

It is noteworthy that Sergio Ramos had moved to Real Madrid in 2005, in exchange for a deal valued at the time at 27 million euros, coming from Seville, and he continued with the team for 16 years, in which he participated in 671 games, scored 101 goals, and won the Spanish League title 5 times, the European Champions League 4 times, the Club World Cup 4 times, and the European Super Cup 3 times.
