In a seemingly very lavish video that Parma has published on Twitter, Buffon is seen stepping into the home arena Ennio Tardini and digging up a treasure chest, which contains, among other things, an old team photo and a Superman costume.
Buffon broke through in Parma in the mid-90s and then left the club for Juventus in 2001. In the 2018-2019 season, he played for Paris Saint-Germain, before returning to Juventus for two new years.
On his CV, Buffon, who is seen as one of history's best goalkeepers, has, among other things, ten Serie A victories and a World Cup gold with Italy.
Parma finished in 20th and last place in Serie A last season and will play in the autumn of Serie B.
