A memorandum of understanding between the "Supreme Legislation" and "Dubai Sports" to improve institutional work

The General Secretariat of the "Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai" has concluded a memorandum of understanding with the "Dubai Sports Council", in order to strengthen bridges of joint cooperation according to main themes; It includes developing the legislative process, upgrading the legal system, and enhancing the optimal application of legislation, as well as improving institutional work. Under the terms of the memorandum, the two parties agreed to cooperate in advancing the development of the legislative process, by making observations and facilitating the exchange of information and data, as well as proposing draft legislation that supports sustainable development plans. Within the axis of optimal implementation of legislation, the two sides intend to enhance mutual benefit from joint legal expertise and encourage bilateral cooperation in the field of legal training, as well as disseminate legislative knowledge by providing publications of the Official Gazette, and benefiting from any smart systems developed in the future.

Ahmed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, said that the memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Sports Council represents an important addition to the solid strategic partnerships that link the Supreme Legislation Committee with leading authorities from the public and private sectors, stressing The importance of concerted joint efforts to effectively involve all stakeholders in the process of strengthening the legal system and ensuring optimal legislative application, in line with the national trend led by the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates to develop flexible and proactive legislation that serves the pivotal sectors and keeps pace with future trends.

For his part, Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, said: "We are pleased to sign the memorandum of understanding with the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, which represents the competent authority to issue and approve legislation in various fields and sectors, including the sports sector, where we have been working for a while to issue laws, regulations and legislation that advance the sports sector to the level that we all aspire to, and in line with the developments taking place in the areas of life in Dubai.”

He added: "Legislation is a cornerstone for achieving any development in the work system, as it establishes mechanisms and precisely defines areas of work in a manner that unifies efforts towards achieving goals and optimal investment of resources.
