Regarding the Tokyo Paralympic Games this summer, the IPC = International Paralympic Committee has revealed that 168 countries and regions have won quotas so far, and the number of participating countries and regions is expected to be the highest in history.

The IPC announced its views 70 days before the Tokyo Paralympics, revealing that by the 14th, the quota for 22 Paralympic competitions had been allocated to more than 3,600, which is 82% of the total.



As a result, the number of countries and regions that have won one or more slots is 168, and the Tokyo Paralympics is expected to exceed 164 of the 2012 London Games, with the largest number of countries and regions in history participating.



In addition, more than 80% of the participating athletes are expected to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus before the competition, saying, "I hope this number will increase further in the coming weeks."



Regarding the classification of disabilities for athletes to compete fairly, some competitions will be implemented in future competitions, and 10 competitions will be considered to be classified in Tokyo just before the competition.
