The Vegas Golden Knights really look like a team that can become Stanley Cup champions.

When they beat Montreal in the first semifinal last night, they took their fifth straight victory in the NHL playoffs after beating the regular season winner Colorado Avalanche in the previous round.

Star defenders Shea Theodore and Alec Martinez put Vegas in a 2-0 lead before rookie Cole Caufield reduced for Montreal.

It was then with seven minutes left of the second period that Mattias Janmark put in a return to 3-1, the Swede's eighth point in eleven slusp games.

The Swede's chain was then hailed by the coach.

- I think that (Nicolas) Roy, (Alex) Tuch and Janmark were our best chain today, says Peter DeBoer.

Nick Holden confirmed the result in the third period and Vegas has now connected a little grip on the final place.
