After just over an hour, Poland was deported.

Grzegorz Krychowiak has been giving his marching orders, his manager will not be happy.

It became costly for Poland.

Seven minutes later, Slovakia got a right corner.

It was nodded by captain Marek Hamsik, who recently left IFK Gothenburg, to Milan Skriniar who took down the ball and pulled it in on half volley for 2-1 through a forest of Polish players who were careful to avoid a penalty.

With ten men, Poland made a final forcing and had a couple of chances but failed to equalize.

The closest was Jan Bednarek who in the first extra minute got an excellent position but shot just outside the post.

- If it was Robert Lewandowski who got the situation, it would have been 2-2, says SVT Sports expert Markus Johannesson.

- It is Poland's own fault that they lose, it is a better team, Johannesson continues.

Poland equalized after 32 seconds in the second half

The second half barely had time to start when Poland equalized to 1-1.

The ball was played deep and Maciej Rybus played it diagonally inwards back to Maciej Rybus who pushed it into goal.

By then, 32 seconds had passed from the second half.

It is the second fastest goal in a second half of a European Championship final after Marcel Cora's goal for Romania against West Germany in 1984 which was scored after 21 seconds.

Róbert Mak scored Slovakia's first goal, a ball that was scored through the post via goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny's shoulder for 1-0.

It was counted as an own goal.
