Dahlén was one of the most important players when Timrå, in mid-May, defeated Björklöven in the hockey Allsvenskan final and returned to the SHL.

But once up in the highest league, they will have to do without the star.

Dahlén returns to the United States.

He has previously played in the AHL teams San Jose Barracuda and Utica Comets.

Now he will try to take a place in the San Jose Sharks, where he will be a teammate with, among others, the Swedes Erik Karlsson, Marcus Sörensen and Fredrik Händemark.

The contract is written over one year.

- Jonathan traveled back to Sweden to be captain and win the Allsvenskan with his team.

He now takes that experience with him when he is fighting for a place in the NHL, says general manager Doug Wilsson.
