According to the newspaper, Eriksen, who plays for Italian Inter on a daily basis, thanks everyone for what they have done for him since Saturday's dramatic event at the Park when he suddenly collapsed during the match against Finland.

After receiving cardiac arrest, Eriksen received life-saving care on the field and was taken to hospital.

He is now said to be fine under the circumstances, but remains for observation and examinations at Rigshospitalet Hospital in Copenhagen.

According to the Danish national team, Eriksen has stated that he does not remember much of what happened.

- I feel better now, but I want to understand what happened, he says now according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

On Sunday, teammate and striker Martin Braithwaite put his feelings into words after the drama.

“Last night was one of the scariest moments of my life.

My thoughts are with Christian, his wife, children and family.

I am grateful that his condition is stable and that he is alive.

That's all that matters right now.

I hope to see you again soon my friend ", he wrote on Twitter.

The players and other staff around the team have received professional help to process the event.

Several of the players have had to spend time with their families, who are usually not part of the corona bubble that the Danish national team has set up.

The doctors still have no explanation for why Christian Eriksen's heart stopped.
