Portugal's right-back João Cancelo has tested positive for covid-19 and will be replaced by Diogo Dalot in the reigning European champions' European Championship squad, the Portuguese Football Association announces on its website.
Manchester City player Cancelo, who scored one of Portugal's goals in the 4-0 victory against Israel in Wednesday's European Championship rematch in Lisbon, tested positive on Sunday and immediately leaves the squad in Budapest ahead of Tuesday's premiere match against Hungary.
Diogo Dalot was loaned to Milan from Manchester United last season.
