REPORTAGE

Excitement is growing among supporters of the France team, as the Blues prepare to enter Euro football.

From Monday, Didier Deschamps' men will travel to Munich before facing Germany on Tuesday at 9 p.m. for their first match in the competition.

Mbappé, Benzema, Griezmann and others will be encouraged on the spot by some 2,000 French supporters.

Europe 1 went to Dunkirk to follow the preparations of the members of the supporters' club of the French team in that city.

"We are leaving Monday evening to arrive Tuesday noon in Munich. So we will have 15 hours of bus to go and 15 hours of bus to return", says Yannick, who counts the hours before departure, at the microphone of Europe 1.

"We're going to spend another two or three hours there in the afternoon"

His digital ticket for the match is stored in his cell phone.

All the supporters of the group will also leave with a negative PCR test in their pocket.

But once in Germany, they will have to do a second antigen test on site to access the stadium.

"So basically we're going to have to be tested in Germany on the day of the match. It's going to be a bit tricky because we're going to arrive around 12-13 o'clock and then we'll have to find a test center to have the test in order to enter the stadium. The 40 passengers on the bus are going to have to be tested. So even if it takes five minutes each, we will therefore spend another two or three hours in the afternoon, instead of going take a little tour of town. "

"We are touching wood"

In the group of supporters, Mehdi crosses his fingers that all tests are negative.

"We must not miss because we do not want to arrive there and be in quarantine after more than a year waiting for the Euro. We touch wood so that really nothing happens and there is no one on the floor so that we can see all the matches, "he slips.

And these health formalities will have to be repeated for the next Blues match in Budapest.

But not enough to discourage these loyal supporters so far.

"With the Euro in 11 cities, it is already not easy to organize something for the supporters, especially for the finals. But we are passionate so we are ready to do anything to support the France team "says a member of the group. From now on, the supporters of the Dunkirk group hope to accompany their team until the final, on July 11 in London.
