Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen fell unconscious while playing and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation by paramedics during his country's match against Finland in the European Football Championship 2020 today, Saturday.

A state of shock and crying took control of the Danish players.

A Reuters photographer at the match saw Eriksen raising his hand as he was carried off the field on a stretcher.

Eriksen suddenly collapsed as he ran close to the sideline.

The player's colleagues formed a ring around him while the paramedics were trying to revive his heart before the end of the first half in the match held in the second group competitions.

The two teams then left the field and paramedics lifted blankets to hide the injured player from view.
