With the Ice Hockey World Cup fresh in mind, the Swedish Ice Hockey Association held the annual federation meeting.

During the meeting, it was decided that Anders Larsson will continue as chairman, for the third time.

- We in Swedish ice hockey have a challenging time ahead of us where we will with all our might get out of the pandemic in the best possible way.

The next four years also include the U18 Women's World Cup, the U20 World Cup for men and the World Cup for men at home, something that will be able to build ice hockey's popularity and further development.

Therefore, it is with pride and humility that I thank you for the trust to lead Swedish ice hockey forward for another period, together with the board, says Anders Larsson to the association's website.

It was also decided to introduce new licensing requirements for the top speakers in the country.

Since 2017, Swedish ice hockey has had a comprehensive licensing framework for clubs that qualify sportingly for games in the SDHL, SHL, Hockeyallsvenskan and Hockeyettan.

These include requirements for finances, organization, youth activities and the arena.

Previously, the requirement for equity was absolute amounts, but now a percentage requirement for equity is introduced instead in relation to the turnover for games in the national senior series,

”writes the ice hockey association.

The new license requirement thus means that each club next season must be able to show equity of 2 percent of sales, 2023 5 percent, 2024 8 percent and 2025 10 percent.

The ice hockey association was also able to report a deficit for the operational activities of SEK 1.47 million. But at the same time it is written that the result is in balance over the last two-year period.
