By the 11th, 76 people, including members and staff of the rugby club, were found to have been infected with the new coronavirus at Ryutsu Keizai University in Ibaraki Prefecture.

According to the website of Ryutsu Keizai University, six students belonging to the rugby club underwent a PCR test for the new coronavirus at the Ryugasaki Campus in Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and the infection was confirmed on the 10th.



In response, all personnel and staff who were considered close contacts by the health center were also tested, and on the 11th, an additional 70 people were found to be infected.



The total number of infected members and staff is 76, and the rugby club is currently inactive, and all members are taking measures to refrain from going out.



The university says, "We will work with and cooperate with the public health center to prevent the spread of infection."
