The national shooting team added two new medals to its tally in the Arab championship currently being held in Egypt. They were signed by Fatima Mohammed, who was adorned with the silver medal in throwing dishes from the hole (dirt) for women, and Yahya Al-Muhairi, who won the bronze medal.
Fatima Muhammad’s achievement is remarkable at the women’s level, at a time when her colleague in the team, Aisha Al-Yassi, and reached the final of the women’s championship for the first time, while Yahya Al-Muhairi took the bronze from the world champions, the Egyptians Ahmed Qamar, Ahmed Zaher and Azmi Muhailba, and the Kuwaitis Talal Al-Rashidi, Abdul Rahman Al-Faihan and Nasser Al-Muqalled, Qatari Rashid Al-Athba, Saeed AbuSharab, Muhammad Al-Rumaihi, and Saudi Faisal Al-Dajani, and he was around the corner from entering the Arab final to compete for gold, but he was excluded because of the "shot off".
