The sports tribunal CAS on Thursday reduced the doping suspension of Ajax goalkeeper André Onana from twelve to nine months.
The suspension of 25-year-old Onana now ends on November 4.
Until then, the Cameroonian is not allowed to take action at both national and international level.
Two months before his suspension ends, Onana, whose contract expires in mid-2022, will be allowed to train at Ajax again.
Onana was tested positive for furosemide in October last year during a doping control. According to Onana, the banned substance was in the diuretics of his pregnant wife, who had mistaken the goalkeeper for aspirin when he was not feeling well.
