The last match before the European Championships and that meant that Portugal would show good form when they faced Israel.

The home team won 4-0, without really making a name for themselves.

And it was world star Bruno Fernandes who would show the way.

However, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who first got a good chance to score the first goal of the match already in the first minute, but missed that time.

Even teammate Diogo Jota would get an opportunity, then via the forehead, but nod outside.

Instead, it was Bruno Fernandes who scored the first goal in the minutes.

The Portuguese got a nice pass in the 42nd minute diagonally into the penalty area and pulled to distinct with his right foot and the ball rolled into the goalkeeper's right corner.

After that, Fernande's role changed.

Two minutes later, he acted forward when Cristiano Ronaldo's goal came.

The 36-year-old ended up a bit out of angle when he fired with his left foot, the shot went straight at Ofir Marciano in Israel's goal, but the goalkeeper could not keep the ball beyond his own net.

2-0.

The star two-goal shooter

In the second half, Portugal played more or less of the match and made several substitutions.

One of those who remained on the field, however, was Joao Cancelo, who was also eager to score.

And as he did.

The 27-year-old right-back got high up in the court, broke inwards and thundered on a hard shot that was unreachable for the goalkeeper.

If it was over there?

Not according to Bruno Fernandes.

The Manchester United star offered a distance shot that went in the left cross and thus fixed the final numbers to 4-0.

Portugal will face Hungary in their first European Championship match on 15 June.
