Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool were the English clubs that were involved in planning a closed European Super League.

Those plans upset the European Football Association (UEFA) and the domestic leagues.

Now the clubs are fined by the Premier League.

They will pay 22 million pounds (approximately 250 million kronor) and the idea is that the money will go back to the football movement.

"The clubs have once again acknowledged that their actions were a mistake," they write.

The six clubs must also have agreed that a similar attempt will result in a 30-point deduction in the league and an additional fine of £ 25 million per club.

Uefa has previously punished the nine of the twelve clubs behind the plans, but the three most driving (Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona) did not approve the punishment and then an investigation was launched.

Today it was announced that the investigation has been paused.
