A first recruit for the Olympique de Marseille.
OM has just formalized on Twitter, this late Wednesday afternoon, the arrival of Gerson after no less than three weeks of negotiations.
The midfielder arrives from Flamengo, Brazil, where he has been playing since 2019. According to several Brazilian media, he has signed a five-year contract.
The amount of the transfer was not disclosed.
Gerson has already had an experience in Europe, at AS Roma between 2016 and 2018, where he did not convince, nor at Fiorentina where he had been loaned during the 2018/2019 season.
This is the first officialization on the side of OM in this transfer window which promises to be eventful given the number of players to be replaced in the Olympian workforce.
