The Tokyo Olympic Torch Relay, which has been held in Yamagata Prefecture, was held on the night of the 7th, when the torch arrived at the park in Sakata City, the final goal point, and an event was held to celebrate the arrival, and the two-day schedule was all over.

On the 7th, the second day of the torch relay in Yamagata, we started from the roadside station "Tendo Onsen" in Tendo City and went around 10 cities and towns.

Of these, in Obanazawa, Hiroshi Sugato, who was selected to represent Japan in boxing at the Moscow Olympics but could not compete in the boycott of the government, served as the first runner.

Mr. Sugato ran the torch relay wearing the training shoes he was supposed to bring to Moscow.

After finishing the run, Mr. Sugato said, "I was disappointed that I couldn't participate in the Olympics until now, but I feel that running this time has eliminated that stalemate."

And the torch arrived before 8 pm at Iimoriyama Park in Sakata City, which is the final goal point.

At the venue, a ceremony called Celebration was held to celebrate the arrival, and the final runner lit the torch on the torch plate, and the torch relay in Yamagata finished all the dates.

The final runner, Kazuhiro Motegi, was the great-grandson of Zensaku Motegi, a marathoner who participated in the Antwerp Olympics 101 years ago as the first Olympian in Yamagata Prefecture. I hope the relay will go smoothly and deliver it to Tokyo safely. "

The torch relay will be held in Akita Prefecture on the 8th and 9th.
