China News Service, June 7 (Beijing time) On the evening of June 6, Beijing time, in the Hengelo station of the World Intercontinental Athletics Tournament in the Netherlands, Dutch player Sivan Hassan successfully broke the women's world record of 10,000 meters with 29.06.82.

The original record of this event was 29:17.45 set by Ethiopian AYANA at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Hassan's new result improved this record by nearly 11 seconds.

It is worth mentioning that Hassan himself holds multiple world records, but none of them are World Championships or Olympic events.

For example, the women's one-mile run (4 minutes 12 seconds 33) and the women's 5 kilometers road run (14 minutes 44 seconds).

After breaking the women’s 10,000-meter world record, Hassan couldn’t hide his excitement: “Today I’ve always dreamed of breaking this world record in Henglow” she said, “This is a perfect testament to my hard preparations for the Tokyo Olympics. I am so happy to share this record in front of my Dutch fans, I am so happy!"

The women's 10,000 meters is an official event of the Olympic Games and World Championships.

Hassan, who has successfully won the World Championships, has now reached a new milestone before the Tokyo Olympics. She has also become the most popular candidate for the Olympic gold medal in the event.
