Ilir Latifi (16-8, 1NC) changed weight class and went up from light heavyweight to heavyweight ahead of his last match against Derrick Lewis during UFC 247. And he lost it by unanimous decision.

But at Sunday night's UFC Fight Night 189 in Las Vegas, "The Crane" finally got to cheer again.

The Malmö team faced Tanner Bosser (19-8-1) and had to break his losing streak in three straight games when he won the fight via a split decision, 27-29, 29-28, 29-28.

A fighting victory

In the first round, Latifi received some tough kicks from "The Bulldozer", but later came back and responded with hard blows.

In the second round, the Swede covered his eye after a blow from the Canadian and meant that the latter offered a painful eye bite.

No hearing from referee Herb Dean at the time and Latifi was pressed towards the end of the round.

Attitude and will eventually became the key for Latifi.

He made a great effort and finished the third and final round of the match at the top of the field.

And afterwards it was his arm that was lifted by the judge.
