Ronaldo asks to drop the American supermodel's suit

The British newspaper, "Mirror", reported that the lawyers of the Portuguese star and Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, demanded the annulment of the rape lawsuit filed against him by American model Catherine Mayorga, claiming that her lawyers used misleading methods by disclosing a number of private documents with the police.

The newspaper said, "The Portuguese star, Ronaldo, demanded that the rape case against him be dropped, after the lawyers of the American model leaked a number of documents related to the case that were published on the "Football Lakes" website.

The newspaper pointed out that: "Ronaldo's lawyers' team claimed that the lawyer of the American young woman contacted the hackers of police documents with the aim of obtaining them, without disclosing this to the court handling the case, before the documents were secretly leaked to the Football Leaks website, which published them."

"Ronaldo's lawyers demanded that the court annul the rape claim, as well as demand that all sensitive documents in the case be rescinded from the Football Leaks leak."

It is noteworthy that Catherine Mayorga demanded in 2018, the cancellation of the settlement procedures that took place in the case after the first complaint, which was dismissed in the summer of 2009, and according to which she received an amount of up to 375,000 pounds sterling, especially that the American model is currently demanding compensation before a court in Las Vegas. to 56 million pounds sterling.

Portuguese star Ronaldo denies the allegations of Mayorga, who met him in Las Vegas in the summer of 2009, and Cristiano insists his innocence of the rape charge.
