Nantes saved its place in Ligue 1 despite its 1-0 defeat against Toulouse in the return play-off match, Sunday, May 30, at La Beaujoire.

Nantes won thanks to a greater number of away goals in the first leg (2-1 victory in Toulouse).

They thus avoid a third relegation in fourteen years, while the TFC, relegated a year ago, fails to find Ligue 1 on its first attempt.

After his 1-2 victory in the first leg, the Canaries were defeated by Téfécé (0-1) because of a goal from Vakoun Bayo in the 62nd minute.

After this opening of the scoring, Antoine Kombouaré's men made their backs round so as not to let the maintenance slip away.

Well helped by the exclusion of Nathan Ngoumou (87th), the teammates of a Ludovic Blas in shape today do not go down to Ligue 2. For the Violets on the other hand, all the efforts made this season are not rewarded.
