The Olympic qualifying tournament will be held from June 29 to July 4 in Split, Croatia.

The Russian national team will play in the group stage of selection with the teams of Mexico and Germany, while Croatia, Brazil and Tunisia will meet in the parallel group.

The top two teams will continue to fight for the only Olympic ticket in the semifinals and finals. 

Earlier it was reported that Alexey Shved will not play for the Russian national basketball team in qualifying for the Olympic Games.
