Postponing a match in the Egyptian League due to Corona

The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided to postpone the match between Pyramids and Ismaili in the twenty-fifth stage of the local league, due to the infection of a number of the first players with the Corona virus.

Pyramids received an official letter on Saturday from the Football Association stating that the match scheduled for Sunday had been postponed.

The federation did not specify the date of the match, which was postponed due to the infection of a number of Pyramids players with the virus after the team returned from Nigeria, where it faced Enyimba in the second leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Pyramids qualified for the semi-finals after a 1-1 draw, by winning the first leg 4-1.

Pyramids announced the injury of five of its players and a number of members of the technical and administrative staff after returning from Nigeria, despite the precautionary measures that the mission was keen to implement during the period of stay in Nigeria.

Pyramids ranks sixth with 34 points, while Ismaili is in fourteenth place with 26 points.
