The Czech Republic got off to a tough start, just like Tre Kronor, when they fell against both the Russian team and Switzerland.

Now, however, they have shifted up.

Against Great Britain came the team's third straight victory, after a convincing 6-1 win.

Britain resisted for just over twelve minutes.

When they then did not get the puck out of their own zone, World Cup debutant Lukas Klok sent in 1-0 behind a hidden Jackson Whistle.

32 seconds into the middle period, Filip Hronek extended on his own.

After a delicious tunnel on a hill, Hronek lifted the extension with a backhand.

"No further condition"

The British, who fell 1-4 against Tre Kronor on Friday, never managed to offer a real fight.

Instead, the Czech Republic scored both its third (Libor Sulak) and fourth goals (Filip Chytil) before the surprise team was able to cheer, as Matthew Myers reduced in the second minute of the second period.

Liam Kirk, the team's and entire tournament's top scorer at the time of writing, with second assistant.

- It is an extremely important goal to get some momentum, the Czech Republic is an incredibly good team, Kirk said during the period break to SVT and admitted that last week's matches have taken their toll:

- There are very many matches in a short period and several in the team have not played the last season, and therefore have no further condition.

The match ended 6-1.

Thus, the Czechs step up to the fourth and final quarter-final place after five games played.
