The Tokyo Olympic torch relay will enter the Hokuriku region from the 29th and will be held in Fukui prefecture for two days.


The Fukui Prefecture Executive Committee is calling for keeping intervals so that they are not crowded along the road and for using live broadcasts delivered on the Internet as much as possible.

The Tokyo Olympics Holy Fire Relay will be handed over from Shiga Prefecture to Fukui Prefecture, and will visit all 17 cities and towns in Fukui Prefecture for two days from the 29th.

On the 29th of the first day, the first runner will start at 8:10 am after the departure ceremony is held at Wakasa Takahama Sea Fishing Park in Takahama Town.



Then, around 7:00 pm, an event and celebration will be held at Nishiyama Park in Sabae City to celebrate the end of the first day, visiting Obama City and Tsuruga City.

The torch will be handed over to Ishikawa Prefecture from 31st and Toyama Prefecture from 2nd next month after Fukui Prefecture, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, relays on public roads will not be held.



And in Shizuoka prefecture, which is the last in the Tokai Hokuriku region, a torch relay will be held for 3 days from the 23rd of next month.
