Rafael Nadal, defending champion and in search of a 14th title, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer find themselves in the same half of the Roland-Garros table, according to the draw made on Thursday.

This configuration was made possible by the fact that Nadal, 3rd in the world, was not automatically in the lower part of the table while Djokovic, number 1, was necessarily at the top.

Federer, who has only played three games in a year, is seeded number 8.

On the French side, Lucas Pouille could find Djoko in the second round, if he beats Pablo Cuevas from the start.

Note the nice clash of generations between Hugo Gaston, revelation of the last edition, and Richard Gasquet.

It will be necessary to take advantage of it, the winner will collide with Nadal from the next round.

Gaël Monfils, in total loss of confidence in recent months, will have to face Albert Ramos-Vinolas, a true clay court specialist.

Benoit Paire, if he wants to play, will face Casper Ruud.

On the women's side, the draw placed the last two tournament winners, Ashleigh Barty (2019) and Iga Swiatek (2020), in the same half of the table.

They could meet in the semi-finals.

Before that, Barty could face the French Chloé Paquet in the second round.

Among the French precisely, a complicated draw for Océane Babel, opposed to Elina Svitolina, seeded number 5. Mladenovic will play a qualifier before quickly finding Swiatek if she passes three rounds.

Carloine Garcia will be opposed to Laura Siegemund.

Finally, Franco-French duel between Alizé Cornet and Harmony Tan.
