The players of the France team have been meeting in Clairefontaine since Wednesday to prepare for the Euro.

And as for the rest of France, the Covid is a major concern.

All the players have been tested, but unlike the entire staff, they are not all vaccinated.

The Blues arrived at Clairefontaine on Wednesday, with the Euro in their sights.

But also with the Covid in the back of their mind.

Didier Deschamps' men all passed a PCR test on Wednesday (which turned out to be negative), and if some selections or the French Olympic team have chosen to vaccinate massively, this is not the option chosen by the French selection, which leaves the choice to the players.

On the other hand, Didier Deschamps, very careful, was vaccinated, like all the management.

The staff, underlines the coach, is older than the players, who therefore had to take their own precautions.

Because no vaccination campaign has been organized in Clairefontaine.

"There was no obligation or recommendation on the part of UEFA. Vaccination remains a personal decision," recalls Didier Deschamps.

"So there are some players who have been vaccinated on their own, since today it is accessible to everyone. Which does not mean, and this is also important, to drop the barrier gestures . "

Mbappé vaccinated, not Pavard nor Mandanda

For the moment, only Kilian Mbappé has revealed on social networks that he has been vaccinated.

Other players preferred to wait.

This is the case of Benjamin Pavard and goalkeeper Steve Mandanda in particular.

The latter probably developed antibodies after contracting the virus.

In any case, several PCR tests will be organized: a positive player will be automatically excluded from the Euro.

No relaxation will be allowed, and a strict bubble is in place at Clairefontaine.

Didier Deschamps asked his players to be very vigilant.
