Kristoffer Olsson's Krasnodar has had a tough season with a lot of ups and downs.

The team finished tenth in the Russian league but has also played the Champions League this season.

- It was incredible to play in the Champions League, a dream since you were little to do it, Olsson says to SVT Sport.

For Olsson himself, the autumn and spring have been relatively good considering that he has been in and out of the squad for a while, but thinks it is important that it is now a good feeling he brings to the European Championship collection.

- For my own part in terms of play, it felt good and the last feeling is usually the one you have in the body, so in that way it feels good, says the 25-year-old.

Tough during the last national team gathering

But if you look at the recent international matches that the midfielder has been selected for, it was a slightly more difficult situation for him then.

- Individually, I had a tough period, partly because I did not play much in the club team and maybe did not come in with the self-confidence that I have now regained.

But as long as you win as a team, you have to be happy.

That SVT Sports expert Daniel Nannskog lifts him as a key to Sweden's success in the European Championships, the 25-year-old chooses to tone down a bit.

- Yes but expectations are raised and I did not reach that level last time but at the same time there were two matches where we took six points and I played quite a lot, so I feel that I contributed anyway, says the national team midfielder.

Nannskog:

- It is definitely a player who needs to be at the very top for Sweden to go really far in this championship.

He needs to step up properly and come back to the old Kristoffer Olsson where he was very central and brilliant in the Swedish game.
