Al Ain football team and its fans lived through difficult moments in a forgotten season in which the "leader" went out without titles and without Asian participation in the next season. The club's management is now required to carry out a radical restoration of the ranks of the first team, in addition to searching for a new technical device, to compensate for the departure Portuguese Pedro Emmanuel, in addition to the inclusion of high-level national and foreign players in order to restore the "prestige of the leader", and to erase the image in which he appeared in the past season, as he became the "biggest loser" among the top clubs after he bade farewell to all competitions from the first round, and occupied the position Sixth in the league, and he lost the opportunity to participate in the next edition of the AFC Champions League for the first time in nine years, and he also left the current version of the competition from the preliminary round, which casts a shadow over the contract file.

The Ainawi administration opened the file of preparations for the new season, as it began communicating with some players' agents inside the country to nominate players to move to its ranks, but one of the obstacles facing the team is the difficulty of convincing the players to contract with him and participate in local competitions only.

Former Al Ain team player, Jumah Khater, who won the AFC Champions League title with the team in 2003, told Emirates Today: “Staying away from the Asian Championship does not reduce Al Ain’s value. All the big clubs may be absent from the scene at times from continental competitions. It is better to be absent and to return your accounts and come back to the front, rather than participating at the expense of your reputation and history, and demolishing the gains made in the past.

Khater indicated that the Al Ain administration has negotiated with some of the new players who will join the team, and added: “There is good news that we expect in the coming period. It is important that the contracts be at a high level, because what happened with (the leader) does not happen to clubs competing to rise to the professional league.” .

Over the course of the last season, Al Ain suffered in all tournaments, as the President's Cup was bid farewell to Ajman, and left the Arabian Gulf Cup in front of Khor Fakkan, which made the team go into the months of March and May to perform the duty after bidding farewell to all competitions.

Jumaa Khater believes that the last season was the most difficult season that passes by the eye, and adds: “All the numbers that have been achieved indicate that. The season was difficult and forgotten. In my view, no such season has passed in the history of the club. The accumulated mistakes appeared, and all the numbers were bad. While the only positive aspect is that a player or players from the academy appear well with the first team. ”

Over the course of a year and a half, Pedro led the team without achieving any title, supervising 47 matches, winning 20 wins, drawing 12 matches, and losing 15 matches.

Jumaa Khater, who won the AFC Champions League title with Al Ain in 2003, does not see coach Pedro bearing the responsibility alone, and says: “I do not blame him, he only bears 50% of what happened, and the players also bear 50%. The current and affected the team, it is important for the next coach to draw a new idea for the future of the Al Ain team, as happened on the island, who contracted with the Dutch coach Marcel Kaiser and asked him to make a team for the future, and he succeeded in further than that, as he achieved the league title without pressure.

Jumah Khater advises the importance of not putting pressure on the players, and says: “There should be no pressure on the players to compete in all titles, but rather to think to return gradually. He returned to the front of the titles and won the league title.
