Oliver Solberg had a third place within reach in Portugal in this weekend's World Rally Championship.

But the engine talent finished fifth in the WRC2 class.

He then looked forward to driving in Sardinia next week.

Unfortunately, there will be no competition for the 19-year-old.

His father Petter has suffered from covid-19 and this means that Oliver is forced to sit in quarantine.

"I am overwhelmed to announce that I will not be running the World Rally Championship in Italy next week.

I have been tested several times since Monday and my test results have been negative.

And it's really tough to take in.

But there are rules for a reason and we respect them ", writes Oliver Solberg on Twitter.
