Norway has strict entry rules with requirements for hotel quarantine for ten days for entry.

This currently means that the classic Bislett Games cannot be held on 1 July.

If the athletics stars do not get an exemption from the quarantine rules so that they can come to Oslo the day before the competition, it can be difficult to get a gala in the Norwegian capital.

Sweden will be used as a transit country

But if Norway, as it is intended to join the EU vaccine passport rules that will enter into force on 1 July, the competition director still hopes to get to the competition.

This by using Sweden as a transit country.

- It is not inconceivable that we then book a flight that departs from Stockholm at midnight and lands on 1 July.

The active people are then at the hotel at two or three o'clock and then compete in the evening, says Steinar Hoen.

He believes that the international stars agree with that idea.

- If I talk to them, I think they do, says Hoen.

After the competition, the competitors would go back to Stockholm, where there is a Diamond League gala on 4 July.
